The Story Of Kerous Empty The Story Of Kerous

Post  Hectare Fri Nov 14, 2008 6:42 pm

Kerous Woodwalker was born into a fairly wealthy family in the Town of Astranaar in Ashenvale. He was the eldest of the four children. His father was a powerful druid and his mother was a great priestess. Kerous and his brother Lentai wanted to become druids like their father while his sister Melindia was keen in the ways of Elune like her mother. Back then, female druids were frowned upon in Kaldorei society but Selben, Kerous's other sister was set on becoming a druid. Every day after school, Kerous and his siblings would spend an hour learning from their parents. Kerous showed exeptional skill in druidism and entered the Emerald Dream for the first time as a druid at the age of 100.

When the Burning Legion invaded Azeroth for the second time, Kerous's parents helped defend the Night Elves homeland. It was a harsh battle but luckily, Ker's parents survived. The joy was not to last however. A part of the Emerald Dream became corrupted, infecting anything that wandered too near. The Green Dragons and Druids who were victims of the corruption (which was named the Emerald Nightmare) began to attack their former allies. The Nightmare began to swarm through four dream portals across Azeroth, one of these being in Ashenvale. Ker's parents, along with a small army of warriors, hunters, rogues, priests and druids went to the portal in Ashenvale in an attempt to drive the corruption back. None of them returned. Kerous and his siblings were heartbroken.

Kerous heard news of a new World Tree which would be planted in an attempt to restore the Night Elves lost immortality. The leader of the druids, Malfurion Stormrage warned the others that the tree would never be blessed by nature. Soon after, Malfurion fell into a state of eternal hibernation which he was unable to escape from. The source of this was still unknown. The new leader of the druids, Fandral Staghelm was also the leader of the group of druids who planned to plant the great tree Teldrassil. Shortly after Fandral became the new Arch Druid, the tree was planted and under the care of the small group of druids, including Kerous, Teldrassil grew and the Kaldorei city of Darnassus was formed. Kerous and his siblings moved to Teldrassil to continue their training. Selben and Lentai mysteriously dissapeared recently and Kerous believes that they could be dead.
