So.. Damn..Nervous

As some may or may not know, When I'm not Eileenory Alyas Kel'Thorei the Moral Officer- I go to shows with a friend's band sometimes. And if they ask nicely (And I mean you, Jord!) I sing some of the songs a guy's voice doesn't usually fit comfortably. I get real nervous doing it though since of the small crowd and all, But having the rest of the band (about 9 to 10 people depending on the song) around me really helps. Since they smile at me and stuff during solos where I don't have to sing and I'm not the main focus of the show.

But this time.. They're asking me to perform a few acoustic songs. I'll list the songs later for you to look up and listen to.
But this makes me real nervous since it'll be just me and Jord on the stage.. And the room will be full of onlookers, looking at me to sing.

Wow, Eileen! You must be really good! And for nerves, bah, every artist that is any good always has nerves, even if they perform every single day. Which is good, I mean, performing is too huge a deal to be relaxed about. *smiles* I myself am an amateur actress in a theater-group, and the three hours before premiere nerves start talking to me loud and clear, saying that I'll forget lines, or stutter, or freeze. I always promise myself to never never never start another play, and once I set foot on stage, nerves fall off and I play like I'm a pro *laughs*.

Point is, nerves are good. As long as you enjoy singing, then go for it! And maybe do stuff to relax you a bit, like yoga. That works for me.

And this Jord wouldn't have asked you so much if he thought you weren't any good. So have a little faith, Eileen! You'll do great! *cheers for Eileen* Yay! Go, Eileen! Woohoo!

i know you can do it, i have done some few teather acts and even tried to sing in them, all you need to do is... think you alone, alone with all your friends that know you are the best, thats how i can handle it. "cheers" "cheers" "cheers"

I'll talk it out with the sound-dude about the youtube thing.. No idea how it will happen, so no gettin' yer hopes up. Perhaps oneday in the future I'll sing in VC O: ..
